GAE - Art Research Group: Ecologies is formed by Brazilian teachers and students of Visual Arts and has collaborators from different areas of knowledge. The artistic and academic activities carried out within the group start from collective investigations guided by the theme-device Ecology, and are carried out under the inexhaustible biases contemplated by the Arts, producing meetings, articles, artistic actions and exhibitions, in order to revert the artistic practices theoretical dimensions addressed.

 

Founded in 2015 by artist and teacher Paula Scamparini, at the time a professor at the Institute of Arts and Design at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (IAD UFJF), it is currently linked to the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (EBA UFRJ) .

 

The lines of research active at the heart of the group are " Art: Ecologies" and " GeoAstro Poetics " , with guidelines conducted by the artist and teacher Mari Fraga (co-leader of the group since 2019) and Paula Scamparini. We currently have guidance from collaborating professors at UFRJ and UFJF, and we mainly cover students from UFRJ and UFJF .

GAE is DGP CNPq certified   since 2015.
