NANO

The NANO laboratory nucleus was established in September 2010, and operates within the scope of the undergraduate program and the Postgraduate Program in Visual Arts at the School of Fine Arts - UFRJ. Its purpose is to develop practical-theoretical research in the area of ​​arts with a specific focus on its intersection with technology and science, with laboratory space for practical-theoretical research in this thematic axis. Since its inception, it has concentrated its actions on the production of events and partnerships at national and international level whose interest is focused on the universe of ideas, practices and poetics of processes that characterize the different modes of creation and their related networks. The motivation of this research group is to consolidate a transdisciplinary space for reflection and promotion of new cognitive models based on practice and dialogical exchanges with a focus on the arts assisted by communication / information technologies.
