Bonfire

Action carried out by students of the discipline Art: Ecologies as a collaborative final work under the guidance of Professor Paula Scamparini. Entitled “Fogueira”, the work was born from the conceptual writings of the artist and student Ana Carolina Lacave.

The proposal was made by an action held on 07/04/2019, at Ateliê Aberto, in the internal garden of the School of Fine Arts. In order to reframe thoughts, desires, secrets and everything else that the unconscious was related to, we look at the element of fire. He was responsible for transmuting and transporting everything that could materialize on a piece of paper to the invisible plane. A mysterious access to the collective unconscious. Some of us spewed ink on the papers, while others minutely detailed every corner of what needed to be said. There were also those that, from outside, were reached and participated in the action in their own way. In practical terms, we separate from the functions at the same time that we carry them out together. We simultaneously started tidying up the space to be designed with fire, the design of the papers that were used as a means of inserting the invisible, we closed them, which made them gain skin, and body, and shape, and weight. Then, all the materiality that has been built so far, is burned. It reaches an invisible, seductive and mysterious plane, although for some it is only smoke.
