Boat + Water Cave (Ducts)
When two individual works meet, or better, they merge / overlap, the authorship is uneven, showing what is called "expanded authorship".
"Boat" starts with the investigation of the conceptual triad Space-Environment-City by the artist and student Miguel Reis, in which he highlights his particularities as a foreign student, located on Ilha do Fundão, intensifying his affects by the shape and perimeter of the place. The 'boat' vehicle was the object of historical crossing for the city to become what it is today, being used since 8200 and 7600 BC, carrying many stories. Giving the possibility of building a new world, it is the middle of the road, between departure and arrival. Amid the chaos of the hillside, walks to reconnect the site and collect materials were carried out. From new and old materials collected, the net was used as a key element in the work, portraying in an sculptural way the thoughts present in this drift.
"Cavernas Hídricas (Ducts)" in turn, is a work of video-object by the artist and student Uri Nonnato, at the time, interested in the montage from audiovisual fragments of the collection. The processing of the images from the first expedition to the underground ducts of the Rio Carioca shaped the project. In the video, a slow attempt of human beings to enter the channels is perceived, totally interrupted by the silting and clogging by anthropic waste.
Both works were presented at the 10th Academic Integration Week at UFRJ / SIAC at the 41st Journey of Scientific, Technological, Artistic and Cultural Initiation (JICTAC).
