Action! is an artistic proposal that began in May 2015 and extends to the present moment. Action! it took place around the themes of collective participation - collaborative in works of art, of the relations between student - teacher - artist in the context of the university - gallery - cultural institutions, thinking about the ways of a political activity, which tries to align itself with the staged actions in real life generated from the scenographic and contextual device.

At first GAE gathered a group of 32 students who, from a call via posters, email and facebook, moved on a Sunday to the university campus of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and, in the same landscape as the routine day by day, they were willing to re-enact their ordinary actions from the direction of the group members, proponents of the action.

Action! version 0 consists of a video in four channels edited from the footage of four cameras positioned in different perspectives of the re-enactment. The group chose and cut the same time interval of the four recordings and they were presented in a single screen video, adapting to the format specified by the gallery Nina Mello in Juiz de Fora, during the Current Art circuit in 2015 to which it was submitted. . Subsequently, the group drew up an Action! version 1 for the GAE event invites Nano , at the UFJF Institute of Arts and Design in February 2016. In this version. The four videos were shown separately on four tube televisions.

In October 2016, continuing the project, the same proposers rehearsed in an article (available here) written collectively through the google docs application. Discussing issues unfolded by collective - collaborative practice, which, by simulating the daily lives of its actors, reposition themselves as agents, and reposition themselves as producers of film fragments, agents of scenes without a central narrative, observers of the event.
